Everything is clean and staff was so friendly. We will definitely be booking with them again.

Just spent the weekend here. We rented the smallest cabin, good for 2 people, but I wouldn’t say there was anymore room for the family. The place was very clean on the grounds and the bath and showers. I can’t say enough about how clean it was. Hunts pizza was available to be delivered to you site, the breakfast pizza was just perfect. I would recommend solely on the staff, very polite and professional, they made us feel like we had been friends for many years. It sits just outside of Custard, close to shopping and sightseeing.

Great location! The campground has nice sites. Easy to pop into Custer or as a launching point to other attractions in the area...especially Jewel Cave. The facilities are really clean and the staff are amazing.

Beautiful, very neat and clean, shaded, and full hookups. Love our spot! Went use the laundry facility and it is also great! Close to many touring areas and the the town of Custer is very close. Very nice!!!

Loved our stay with my family 2 kids and pups of course! Staff was AMAZING. Heather was very helpful along with the children's activity coordinator (forgot to grab her and her husbands name) very kind! And they spoiled our kiddos which they loved. Clean facilities, they just had a new slide brought in while we were there and my son loved it! They are also going to be updating there pool next year so we will have to come back for sure! Nice dishwasher area for people staying in the more basic cabins like my family chose. They even had small TVs, ac, heat, tables...

Great Campground, conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed watching the cute little squirrels and Deers in the field across the way. Sites had picnic tables and fire pits. Camp store has essential items for purchase. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Beaver lake campground. The RV spaces were sized nicely. They had a nice camp store with parts and pieces you might need. The staff was exceptional and really helped us out when we needed to make some last minute changes to our time in Custer. Friendly, helpful, fun staff. Great location to anything you want to see in the region. We recommend it.

We did the vilksmarch this year and decided to rent a cabin instead of pull up the rv and I loved cabin 7 easily slept 2 adults and 4 kids. It was also nice to be at the end where my kids could play and not bother anyone else . I hope to come back and stay again. My kids enjoyed the playground area also. Did not get to enjoy the pool as it was after labor day.

Another lovely stay at this campsite. Forever customers 🙂 shopping is nearby and so are the numerous attractions.

I can't say enough good things about this campsite. We're here for my husband's work and rented a campsite for a week. We're so happy here that since they need him to stay longer, we're staying put. Staff is friendly and generous. Prompt on answering questions and accommodating to all our needs. Campsite is clean and well matained. Private and very spacious. Only downside is the location. The cell phone coverage is bad and camp accessible WiFi works better the closer you are to the office. But other than that, book your camping trip here, you won't regret it!

Loved Beaver Lake campground!! The cabins were super nice as well as the staff there!

This place has a friendly host, clean bathrooms, laundry, and free wifi. The camping spots are spacious and well maintained. It's nice to be at a campground and feel like your in the woods!

We loved absolutely everything about this campground. The location was perfect. The staff was friendly. There were plenty of amenities. Lots of areas to walk and hike. Very dog friendly.

Enjoyed my talks with Jen, Ami & Heather about the upgrades they will be doing. Beaver Lake reminded me of my childhood rustic campground but with modern amenities. Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed in my rv and it was a great space to camp with my family, the employees that I met seemed like very kind people and were a great help and they had everything I needed on site and more. The campsite is pet freindly. Will come back in the future! I definitely recommend people to stay here.

Excellent RV and camping site, large spaces for our 60 ft plus unit

Newish camper here, early this month a few friends and I had a few lots together, “Karen, Kevin and family” in a $200K RV had a site next to us, we weren’t there when we left, they came back to seeing us with beers and a….cigarette, professional adults calming down after a ton of driving, being kind and friendly as my friend’s kids and my dog are playing with walkie talkies, running around the playground, everyone was calm and relaxing, and having fun, then a manager came up and told us how Karen and Kevin’s experience is ruined by us at about 7:30PM. Rather than come talk to us, they tried SO HARD to get us kicked out! This could have really ruined our time here in SD or even life possibly! THANKFULLY THESE AWESOME PEOPLE SEE THROUGH AND DO NOT TAKE CRAP FROM KAREN AND KEVIN’S! You can even just tell by the review reply’s. After the watchful eye of “jim lahey and the entourage” with a big dumb RV full of affluenza drove off, my friend’s, family and I had a blast! Next time, I WILL be back here, SUPER FRIENDLY and accommodating staff, clean grounds and NO BS! Can’t recommend enough!

Best Campground me and my family have been to!

The best camping experience and the owners and care takers were the best. I recommend this place to all, custer state park and Mt. Rushmore the black hills so much to see and do the lakes and wildlife is great too. God bless America!

The camp ground is older, but that is what we like! Mature trees for shade & privacy. The sites are big enough. The grounds and all facilities are well kept. But most of all the owners, management and staff were absolutely amazing! One family in our group had major truck problems, they were very helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this campground and if in the area again we will definitely stay there.

We stayed here from 7-3-25 to 7-5-25. We ran into some bad luck with our vehicle about 38 miles from them. Got our vehicle towed to the campground. They were kind and offered the help they could for us. Let us keep our vehicle on the property until we got a tow truck to go back from Colorado and pick it up. Friendly staff. All very pleased with our stay here.

We loved this campground! Our group of 4 adults and 2 kids got 2 tent spots, which both had electric hookups. There was a nice playground in a central location. There were 2 bathrooms, although we only visited one. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy and had showers. They also had a dishwashing station complete with hot water, which was a lovely surprise. The little camp store has basics, including firewood. Each campsite had a small fire pit and a covered picnic table. It's a hilly spot, but the spaces are nicely leveled. It was a rainy weekend in late May, so it was not particularly busy. It was very quiet. The whole place is covered in pine trees, so every spot has some shade.

We gather here for a family reunion every few yrs and this is the yr to be back. Great place for everyone with RVs, tents and cabins. We use the outside Pavillion area to. They have something for everyone.

My wife and I tent camped here while exploring Wind Cave and Custer state park. It is quite a lovely campground, it seemed like all the campsites were nice and spaced out and had a nice amount of privacy. We stayed in site T which was very beautiful, had a covered picnic table and overlooked a nice little pasture area where deer liked to graze. The ladies at reception were very nice and helpful. The bathrooms were decent. They were not the nicest or most up to date bathrooms I've seen at a campground, but definitely not the worst either. My wife keenly pointed out that the bathrooms didn't seem to get cleaned for the few days that we were there. Maybe that was due to us going during the week and during "the offseason" for the local area. However, I wouldn't say the bathrooms got overly filthy during that time. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Beaver Lake and we would probably stay again if we were ever in the area.

This is a great quiet campground, somewhat secluded but not . It's a hidden gem.the staff are great and friendly.

Great camp but we do not allow rude behavior or this fence. Such a lovely gentleman to deal with. Lucky I wear a body cam and it was all recorded.
